We opened two new locations this year and are on pace to open another location next year! We are bringing the neighborhood bar back! We specialize in putting our twist on American Pub classics and are best known for our Fried Mac & Cheese Squares and award-winning Chicken Wings! Our group is continuing to grow everyday. G&O, Aberdeen Tap, Avondale Tap and Green Room Tap – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition? I have now been a chef for 10 years and continue to learn every day. I just kept grinding and learning as much as I could from each chef I worked with along the way.

The road to becoming a chef was a challenging one full of many hurdles and challenges. Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way? I can’t think of anything else I would rather do so to be the Culinary Director of four neighborhood pubs, Aberdeen Tap, G&O, The Green Room Tap, and Avondale Tap, it feels like I’ve come full circle. Since then, I’ve worked in all types of kitchens all over the country, from New York to California. I started working in prep kitchens when I was 14 years old in upstate New York. This is a small bar that caters to “friends” and I wouldn’t put it past them that most of the good reviews on Google for The Aberdeen Tap were created by such friends.Today we’d like to introduce you to Cameron Smith.Ĭameron, please share your story with us. I advise that any African American individual stay as far away from this establishment or you will intentionally receive poor treatment. This facility promotes (Black Lives Matter) but on more than one occasion (other reviewers have stated they were treated poorly due to being black) they have been openly discriminatory towards African American individuals who step foot in The Aberdeen Tap. I never raised my voice or cussed at him but he was extremely hostile and aggressive with me,pointing at me to go away and yelling profanity after profanity.
